With the upgrading of communication system,the research of power amplifier has been deepening towards the direction of broadband,high efficiency and large backoff range.Therefore,based on continuous power amplifier,this thesis studies the broadband high-efficiency power amplifier suitable for 5G communication.The main work is as following as:(1)Research on high efficiency and broadband of single tube power amplifier.By introducing waveform parameter ? and correction factor ? into the voltage waveform expression of the standard class F power amplifier,the impedance space of the continuous class operating mode can be expanded,and the limitation that the bandwidth of the traditional class F power amplifier can not exceed one octaffion-range can be broken.Based on this kind of work mode,this thesis proposes a kind of high performance miniaturized power amplifier structure.The design fully considers the parasitic effects of encapsulation model and the correlation between the fundamental and harmonic impedance.Therefore,the more precise impedance area is obtained.By adopting the high and low impedance line microstrip filter structure in the input and output matching network,a high performance continuous class F amplifier is achieved finally.The simulation results show that in the band of 0.3 ? 3.6 GHz(relative bandwidth 169.2%),the saturation efficiency is 61.2 ? 70.8%,the output power is 40.9? 42 d Bm,and the area of the realized power amplifier is 4.3cm*3.6cm,which is significantly reduced compared with other power amplifiers with similar performance.(2)Research on the large back-off range,high efficiency and broadband of Doherty Power Amplifier.By introducing post matching technology into the structure of three-way Doherty power amplifier,the purpose of expanding the bandwidth and expanding the backoff range of Doherty power amplifier is realized.Based on the circuit structure,an improved continuous class F three-way post-matched Doherty power amplifier is proposed,and a specific design method is given.In the design,a low-order impedance inverter is used to control the fundamental impedance in the output matching network of the carrier power amplifier,and a quasi-elliptic filter is used to control the second harmonic current in the output matching network of the peak power amplifier.The harmonic impedance of the carrier amplifier in the back-off and saturation state is controlled in the post matching network to realize the high efficiency of the carrier power amplifier in the two states.The simulation results show that in the band of 3.3?3.8GHz,the saturated output power is 46.4?47.1d Bm,the saturation efficiency is 64.4?67.8%,and the drain efficiency is 58 ? 62.4% in the range of 10 dB back-off.
