With the rapid development of electronic information technology,millimeter wave technology has been widely spreaded.Millimeter wave has the advantages of large bandwidth,narrow beam,reliable detection ability and good confidentiality,so it has been widely used in radar,electronic countermeasure,communication,guidance and other fields.Millimeter wave source plays a vital role as a part of the millimeter wave system.Excellent-performed millimeter wave source is the guarantee of millimeter wave system.Therefore,it is of great significance to research the high efficiency and good performance millimeter wave frequency sources.In this thesis,the W band frequency link is designed with four-stage cascaded structure based on the frequency doubler realization method.The specific contents are as follows:First of all,the U band frequency doubler by Schottky resistance diode is designed.The non-linear model of diode is established in Advanced Design Simulator(ADS)to extract impedance parameters,which is replaced by the impedance boundary in HFSS,the matching network and whole doubler circuit can be finished.The result is that in the range of 46.6~48.6GHz,the S11 and S22 of frequency doubler is lower than-15 dB.To achieve the millimeter wave source,a W band frequency doubler is needed.It is designed by using Schottky varactor diode.On the basis of accurate modeling,combine the software HFSS and ADS together to finish the whole circuit simulation.The experiment results show that in the range of 90.4GHz~95.6GHz,the output power of the frequency doubler is larger than 12 mW.Finally,the W band frequency multipliers module is succussfully finished based on the design above.The module is designed by cascade of four stages: the first two stages are designed by chips to change the frequency from C band to K band;the third is designed by Schottky resistance diode and the last Schottky varactor diode.Finally,the signal passes through the probe to the waveguide,and then filtered by the W band filter,finally,output by the WR-10 standard waveguide.In order to reduce module power consumption,the W band frequency multipliers module modulates the drain of amplifier by pulse modulation.The final experiment shows that when the input power is 14.5dBm,the output power can reach 11.63 dBm when the frequency is 95 GHz,the peak detection voltage is 116 m V;When the frequency of TTL signal is 50 kHz and the duty ratio is 10%,the pulse rise time is 25.34 ns and the fall time is 56.77 ns.
