The research of the measurement campaign, and the parameter analysis,clustering and statistical modeling of the propagation characteristics of millimeter-wave wireless channel are very important for the evaluation and verification of the new frequency point of wireless communication system, especially for the theoretical analysis and the deployment of the 5G network in the future. With the development of wireless communication technology and the continuous improvement of demand, the emergence of multiple-input and multiple-output(MIMO) will have a profound impact on the capacity of next generation wireless mobile communication system. In the dissertation, we focus on the propagation characteristics measurement and parameter analysis of millimeter-wave channel,which will be used in the next generation mobile communication. According to the research results of the measurement combined with theoretical analysis and experimental results, we do the research of propagation characteristic extraction,clustering and statistical channel modeling. The main work includes the three aspects,which are as follows:(1) Synthesis of Wireless Channel Impulse Response for Virtual MIMO Measuring System. Due to the limitation of the existing technology of electronic industry, we can not construct the real MIMO measurement system. We adopt the method,which is similar to the method of switching unit controlling the virtual MIMO array, to simulate the virtual MIMO channel. However, the problem is how to implement the virtual MIMO system accurately, such as the synchronization between the transceiver and the receiver device, and how to synthesize the channel measurement of the wireless channel impulse response and How to synthesize the virtual antenna pattern corresponding to the synthesized wireless channel impulse response. These problem will be described in the next section, and the persuasive explanations of the approach will also be given.(2) The Extraction of The Millimeter-Wave Radio Channel Parameters. The fundamental purpose of the research to the wireless millimeter-wave channel measurement is to describe the channel characteristics with some specific parameters.We will explain the existing channel parameters' extraction methods, and then the theory of the SAGE algorithm used in this paper will be described in detail. Finally,we will use the algorithm for the extraction and analysis of the parameters for the synthesized CIRs. Because it is a front-line work,so we have to give proof and theoretical analysis to explain that our approach is reasonable and correct.(3) The Channel Clustering For The Multi Path Components And Statistical Channel Modelling Parameters Analysis. On the basis of the output results of the SAGE algorithm, we further analyze the data, at the view of clustering to observe the interpretation of the wireless channel which will simplify the description of the channel. What's more, we not only give the clustering results, but also explain the reasonableness of the rationality of the results.The above is the main content of the main work and innovation of mine. And based on these three points, I wrote a paper published in IEEE. I also hope that there is a certain significance for my job to the next wireless channel analysis and modeling.
