The design of the traditional radar signal processing system is generally only for a single type of radar.The general and extensibility of the whole system is poor,because the main processor generally uses the DSP,system's internal hardware architecture is fixed,the way of data transmission is specific and the software inheritance is not high.The modern radar require the hardware modularization,generalization and rapid reconstruction.Meanwhile,it requires the software development is easy and the development cycle is short,which leads the traditional processing system has been unable to meet the requirement.With the development of general-purpose processor technology,the performance of general-purpose processor has been equal to or even surpass DSP.So the radar processing platform based on general processor and real-time operation system will be more competitive,and is one of the design hotspots.The processing platform designed and developed in this paper is the important part of a shipborne radar processing system,this radar system is composed of a plurality of processing platform,there is multi input optical fiber rate up to 3.125 Gbps,processing platform data switch rate is high to 8Gbps,so processing platform must has a very strong computing ability and data switch rate,meanwhile the processing system of shipborne equipment to withstand the harsh environment.Based on the specific requirements and considering the system's generality and extensibility at the same time,a design scheme of signal data processing platform based on dual core PowerPC,high-performance FPGA,SRIO/PCIe/GbE High-Speed Serial BUS Switch and VPX standard bus is proposed in this paper.Firstly,it comprehensively analyzes the specific needs of the system and gives the whole framework design and the circuit of signal processing platform;then,it mainly focuses on the basic working principle of high-speed serial interface of SRIO,PCIe and Gigabit Ethernet and the realization of three high-speed bus switching module,base on the hardware,describes the transplantation of Vx Works operating system,and makes an actual test of the operation performance with the vector function library.The data processing platform of radar signal based on dual core PowerPC is stable and reliable,and achieves every predetermined target and engineering application requirement.It is stable in practice and test.
