Laser detection has the advantages of high directivity and anti-jamming etc,because of its superior detection performance,it is getting more and more widely used in the research and application of laser ranging,communication,radar tracking,guidance etc.This paper mainly aims at the measurement error problem existing in the pulse laser ranging technology,analyzed the reasons of the error,mathematical analysis was carried out on the signal characteristic,found the relationship between signal peak value and threshold value,using the relationship put forward the solutions,and proved the feasibility through experiments.The system design is divided into two parts,including hardware circuit design and system software design.System hardware circuit is used to processing the detector echo signal,the peak character of the signal be used to obtain the corresponding threshold for identification.The circuit includes three parts,the peak hold circuit,the isolation circuit and the threshold circuit,the circuit can realize the high-speed narrow pulse laser signal peak value and set the threshold.The system software is divided into three parts,respectively is the FPGA program for system control,the USB program used for data transmission and PC program used to deal with the data showed.The FPGA program developed using verilog language,achieve the control the launch of laser,laser loose time measurement and data cache function.USB program for data package and transmission,add the frame head to FPGA application cache data and sent to the PC.PC program for data processing,converted the time measuring values of FPGA program to distance values and displayed in the interface,intuitive display measurement results.By system experiments,proved that by setting threshold value dynamically,the scheme can reduce the measurement error that because the change of laser pulse echo rise edge,and effectively improve the accuracy of measurement.
