With the development of network technology and information technology,Data transmission between PCs are more widely used by network interconnection.In some areas where need large amounts of data transmission such as aerospace,digital television,the demand of data transfer rate between PCs has even reached the level of 10 Gigabit.Traditional data transmission modes that based on CPU software,Gigabit ethernet and third-party hard disk have already can't meet the needs of high-speed data transmission between PCs because of the limitation of data processing power and bandwidth.Based on the deeply studying of PCIe and 10 Gigabit ethernet UDP/IP protocol,we design 10 GigE network transmission platform based on FPGA to relize large amounts of data transmission between PCs.We combine PCIe DMA data transmission system with 10 Gigabit ethernet,using DMA technological advantages to improve the transmission rate and efficiency of equipment CPU and using hardware processing network protocol to reduce the burden of CPU to meet the requirements of high-speed transmission and high processing capacity.The cores of the design are PCIe DMA and UDP/IP protocol stack.PCIe DMA data transmission system mainly contains the send and receive module,DMAControl status registers and interrupt module;UDP/IP protocol stack contains logic design of receiving and sending UDP data module and interface with FPGA MAC core.This system is designed by Verilog and Xilinx ISE development kit.We write code firstly and then simulate it to tset the functions of each module,finally download the bit file to the board to test.We obseve the PCIe transmission speed on the PC,use Wireshark capturing data packets and analyze these packets.The reault shows the system realizes the function of high-speed transmission of data between devices,sending and receiving rate all can reach 6Gb/s.
