Radar signal preprocessing system is an important part of the radar signal processor,it is mainly responsible for the radar echo signal acquisition and processing a series of clutter.To ensure the real-time processing of radar signal in the design,based on the real-time data processing ability features of FPGA,we can break the bottleneck that the radar signal data acquisiting speed and the data processing speed can not match in the past,so as to enhance the radar detection and tracking performance.This dissertation first introduces the background,key technology and development of the radar signal processing and manifests the significance of the research through bird detection radar.Then,a more detailed presentation and derivation of the radar signal processing will be conducted,including the basic principles of the Kalman filter,which is used to realize target tracking.After that,a signal processing system is designed for the bird detection radar.FPGA realized digital down conversion and FIR filter.Finally,we built up a complete set of bird detection radar experimental system.Through the field experiment,we realized the target detection and tracking test for the slow target and the birds,which provides support for further study and design of bird detection radar system.
