Railway Geographic information System(RGIS for short),as a main branch of Geographic information System(GIS for short),has been applied in various management systems in the railway industry,like Public-Work RGIS,BusinessBoundary RGIS,Transport RGIS,Polizeilich RGIS,etc..Combined with GIS and the Internet technology,Web GIS technology brings larger accessibility for GIS applications.Therefore,the B/S architecture has been the most popular one applied in RGIS applications.Since China proposed and began to deploy the RGIS industry in 2001,Web GIS middleware technology has been maturely used in RGIS applications.In the complex system architecture,it decouples the interconnection and interoperability services connected with GIS,and reduces the difficulty of the upper-level application development,including provides fast access and picturesque management abilities for users.The performance of RGIS applications were largely influenced by the performance of related functons in Web GIS middleware.In the mean time,the performance of hardware and software varies greatly at different units of railway bureau.Web GIS middleware should increase the response speed and adapt to the special requirements of the railway industry,which would play a pivotal role in optimizing the UE of RGIS applications.Based on the existing Web GIS middleware in RGIS application,this thesis dose the business function and performance analysis of RGIS application,designs an optimization solution for improving the response speed of Web GIS middleware in railway industry.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:1.Analyze the existing problems of WebGIS middleware in RGIS application.Propose the response speed requirements from the perspective of users.2.Optimize the processing flow of the POI marking function in RGIS application.Process the multi-line POI marking in a pipeline way,and coordinate the computing resources of server and client,so as to improve the marking response speed with large data volume.3.Optimize geographical database query process.Add database indexes on frequent database queries to speed up query response.4.Optimize memory usage in real-time positioning.Change the data type into smaller one in Web GIS middleware processing,minify the size of buffer block in memory,and adjust the strategise of buffer pool maintenance and cleanup.These measures guarantee to store more active buffer blocks in limited memory,reduce the swap-in rate between memory and database,and improve the response speed of Web GIS middleware.
