With the increasingly wide application of WEBGIS, it is very important to assure theGeo-spatial data transfers security in the network. This paper was designed to focus onhidden security troubles. On the basis of the above description, this paper proposesseveral implementation frameworks of secure data transfers platform for WebGIS forstudy.Network facilitates the people, but at the same time, there is also existence of a varietyof security threats. After WebGIS which is anetwork's derivatives enjoys the digital and popularization's benefits, a series ofsecurity threats are coming.Facing threats, the research on security of network come into being a preliminary shapeand even some technology and system has been very mature. So, Whether WebGISnetwork security research meaningful?First WebGIS services for the acquisition, display, transmission, management andanalysis of spatial data. The special nature of Space Data compared to General Datamade WebGIS special Secondly, WebGIS must considers the need for more functionaldiversity, ease of use, and the integration of other networking products because it is anew field of study and a new product, and then it is in-depth public; Third, becauseWebGIS derived from network, network's own safety design meet the basic of WebGISsecurity needs. These causes for that WebGIS network security specialized research isrelatively less and strongly rely on third-party security products.With the rapid development of WebGIS, WebGIS are more practical, open and popular.These trends will have more requirements in WebGIS security. The traditional andreliant security arrangement has been not matching with the rapid growth. Therequirement of professional and meticulous WebGIS security research is more and morepressing.This paper discusses three technical solutions on this background.One is WebGIS security platform based on the middleware. Acting middleware can beused to simplify system research and development, especially for some of the need for aheterogeneous system and distributed processing applications. Using proxy middlewaretechnology can significantly simplify the complexity of the system building. WebGISdata security platform can be divided into four parts: the client browser, client securityproxy, the server-side security proxy, the WEB server.One is a security mechanism based on Servlet. Servlet uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)protocol for data encryption. A SSL session begins shaking hands. Encryption method ispublic key encryption and symmetric key encryption. Symmetric key cryptography ismore effective than public-key cryptography, but the public key cryptography provide more reliant verification method.One is WebGIS metadata and space data security based on XML. W3C and IETFdeveloped XML encryption standards to allow using different encryption key indifferent parts in same XML document. When send the same XML file to differentrecipient, the recipient can only see data relevant with their own, so we achieve accesscontrol of different level. XML encryption including encryption syntax and rules in twoparts, grammar describes the form of encrypted data and encryption rules describeprocess.
