Nowadays, the trend of global warming continues, followed by the occurrence of the extreme weather events, which brings increasingly disasters and risks to all life on the planet. The United Nations has included "climate change" in one of the 17 sustainable development goals of the "2030 Sustainable Development agenda".All nations and citizens should take actions together to promote prosperity and protect the planet based on a proper awareness of climate change risks. The risk of climate change, the dissemination of risk information about climate change and the risk cognition of climate change are unique and deserve our attention.Firstly, the risk of climate change has its own characteristics. The causes of the risk are both natural factors and human factors. The risk consequences affect widely and continuously.Secondly, the dissemination of risk information about climate change is one-way transmission, which means that people cannot based on personal experience to feel and understand the risk clearly and accurately. And then, mass media become one of the most important channels to know the it,however,in this process of communication, mass media may change, exaggerate, transform or reduce the risk and then affect people's risk perception. Finally, people's risk perception of climate change have its own uniqueness, which is different from the rational and quantitative judgement of general experts, and it is a kind of perceptual and subjective understanding.Combining the current situation of the competition between the official media and the self-media in the production of network content, and the fact that the media regard "balance" as a basis for reporting in the environmental science, which make science more controversial than the actual situation. This paper focuses on the influence of "media source" and "balance" of information on the risk perception of climate change through experimental method, which focuses on the communication effect of the characteristics of media information dissemination. The result shows that:the "balance" of the media text has a significant impact on people's risk perception, and when the text is "balanced",the "personal climate change risk cognition" and "human climate risk change cognition" are lower. The effect of "media source" on "human climate change risk cognition" is also significant. The more official the media is,the more it can strengthen the role of text "balance" and influence people's risk perception of climate change on human level.Media sources had no significant effect on personal climate change risk perceptions. So,the media should make prudent use of the principle of "balance",focus on the principle of "authenticity",and "objectivity",and restore the true appearance of the facts. The "official media" should play its influential role and follow up on the latest scientific findings of climate change in real time. They should base on adequate news coverage, make good use of the Internet which has become the main platform for people to access climate change risk information, and strive to improve the reliability of media coverage.
