To promote the progress in integrated space and terrestrial information network(ISTIN)and reduce the risk and cost of space test,the demand for integrated space-air-ground network emulation platform based on terrestrial network environment especially the laboratory environment is urgent.Meanwhile,since the gateway in integrated space-air-ground network is becoming the critical point and important equipment connecting two heterogeneous network,the design and implementation of gateway simulation nodes becomes a hot issue.Different protocol architectures for ISTIN have been put forward,including scheme based on IP and scheme based on DTN.Accordingly,different design of protocol architectures for gateway in ISTIN have been proposed too,for example,the IP over CCSDS gateway and the DTN gateway.Then,different methods of design and implementation of gateway simulation nodes have been proposed.However,most of the existed schemes only aims at one protocol design lacking compatibility and scalability.In order to conveniently deploy and reduce cost,the gateway simulation nodes running in Ethernet usually lack authenticity and integrity in data link layer and physical layer in space domain.First of all,to meet the demand of simulating different network architectures and supporting the research,and the development as well as test of all existing protocols in the emulation platform,this paper sorts out various protocol architectures for ISTIN and corresponding design concepts for gateway.Secondly,this paper makes analysis and comparison of different simulation methods for gateway in different emulation platforms.On the basis of deep understanding,design and implementation of a reconfigurable emulation method for gateway in ISTIN is proposed and illustrated.The work mainly lies in the need of reconfigurable design adopting different methods in each layer of protocol architecture.Software and hardware tools are utilized together to emulate the full network protocol stack and interfaces reserved in each layer facilitate rapid combination and configuration of protocol.The innovation of the thesis is that the scheme possesses both authenticity and flexibility.This paper also conducts the performance test and the functional test of gateway simulation nodes.The experimental results show that the scheme not only meets the needs of the emulation platform.More importantly,the scheme proposed in this paper can provide researchers and developers the feasibility to emulate or to test new design and application of gateway in ISTIN in the future.
