With the continuous improvement of the level of social information,the speed of information is increasing explosively,which brings more pressure to the communication system.In order to improve the speed of information processing,all optical signal processing has attracted more and more attention.As an important part of all optical signal processing,all-optical quantization plays an important role in all-optical analog-to-digital conversion.However,the research of all-optical quantization is mainly focused on amplitude quantization,and with the application of phase modulation signal more and more widely,the research of all-optical phase quantization has attracted widespread attention.Optical phase quantization mainly is mainly applied to all-optical analog-to-digital conversion and phase regeneration.For all-optical analog-to-digital,improving the quantization accuracy can improve the conversion precision of the all-optical analog-to-digital converter.And for the phase regeneration,signal phase modulation format has higher spectrum efficiency,squeezing the phase noise of the advanced phase modulation format signal is of great significance.So The realization of multi-level phase quantization is significative.In this paper,the main research of multi-level phase quantization are as follows:1.Multi-wave interference method which can improve quantization effect is applied to multi-level phase quantization.At present,research on multi-wave interference method focused on quantifying the signal to few quantitative series.In the article,there will be detailed analysis on the application of multi-wave interference method in multi-level phase quantization and the implementation scheme of realizing multi-level phase quantization is proposed,which improves the quantization effect and improves the quantization series.2.A method of multi-level phase quantization using low-order harmonics is proposed.In this paper,we propose a method which use low-order harmonics to replacing the traditional signal and high-order harmonics for coherent superposition.The method can reduce the order of harmonic required by multi-level phase quantization,thus can reduce the difficulty of realizing multi-level phase quantization.The application of this method in phase regeneration is also discussed and analyzed,and its feasibility in phase reproduction is verified by simulation.
