Investigation And Analysis Of Institutional Repositories Of The Three Regions Of China's Cross-Strait

Nowadays,more and more mechanisms are gradually focusing on and starting to build their own institutional repository,which aims to provide a platform for digital information resources and intellectual achievements in the mechanism to be standardized and long-term preservation,at the same time,This platform can provide the resource sharing service to users inside and outside of mechanisms,which is conducive to the common progress of society.The author chooses China as the research object,investigates the present situation of China's mainland,Taiwan and Hong Kong,and summarizes the development features of institutional repositories of the three regions,and focus on the existing problems in the construction process of China mainland,so as to explore the corresponding countermeasures that can alleviate or eliminate these problems.China's institutional repositories development has shown an uneven situation:the rapid development of Taiwan and Hong Kong,but the mainland region in the development of institutional repositories is relatively slow and there are some problems,such as:the number is small,the overall distribution of the region is not balanced,the relevant laws,regulations and policies are not yet perfect,the standard of resource construction is not yet fully standardized,the service type is relatively small,lacking of the special support funds,etc.These problems may weaken the exchange of cultural of China 's cross-strait,while the people on both sides to inherit and carry forward the outstanding culture of China is also unfavorable.So the thesis discuss the corresponding countermeasures that can promote the development of the institutional repositories of China mainland,such as:increasing its propaganda,strengthening its resource construction,establishing the corresponding resource storage system,improving the relevant policies,applying for special development funds,strengthening the alliance of institutional repositories in Mainland China.
