As an important part of the radar system and modern microwave communication system,the transceiver components play a key role in the performance of the whole system.With the development of microelectronics technology,as well as the deepening of the understanding of radio technology,the requirements of microwave technology is getting higher and higher.Component miniaturization is an inevitable trend,by more and more people's attention.In this paper,low temperature co-fired ceramic-based,completed miniaturization of multi-channel components.This article will play the advantages of LTCC technology and MMIC chips,to achieve the integration of components and miniaturization.The basic concepts of LTCC technology first are introduced in this paper;Secondly,the development trend and research results of LTCC technology microwave devices are introduced.The manufacturing process of LTCC technology,the characteristics of LTCC and the direction of development are introduced.According to the requirements of the technical indexes of the component,the parameters are decomposed and the components are selected,and the technical parameters of LTCC passive components are synthesized.Several LTCC filters were designed,in which the P-band low-pass filter was only 3.5 mm x 2 mm x 1 mm,the L-band bandpass filter was only 16 mm x 10 mm x0.5mm,and the C-band bandpass filter was only 8.5 mm x 6.8mm x 0.1 mm.According to the design principle of LTCC passive components,the detailed design is extracted,the relevant experimental parameters are extracted,the necessary software is corrected by the physical test results.Finally,the final simulation model is determined.The test results show that the simulation results of the filter can be applied to the actual circuit in.The passive components and a variety of MMIC chip integrated into the LTCC substrate,and then optimize the structure of the software layout and then complete the overall layout.MMIC chip is a key factor in the success of component development,the accuracy of its technical parameters will affect the rationality of the design of component design.In the component design process,the S-parameters of the filter and the MMIC chip are extracted by the semi-physical test system or other test methods,and the circuit simulation software is brought into the circuit simulation software to reduce the design risk of the scheme.The use of micro-assembly technology to complete the LTCC miniaturization of multi-channel components of the assembly work to carry out the components of the channel technical indicators of debugging and testing.Component test results show that the development of LTCC multi-channel components to achieve the desired requirements.The process is analyzed and summarized in the process of component development and improvement of the program.
