In recent years, mobile communication devices are developed rapidly and have a significant impact on our lives. The progress of the antenna technology is the premise of the progress of the mobile communication technology. But the antenna is a resonance device, the size is decided by the working frequency. Thus making it difficult to realize miniaturization and integration of the device.Low temperature co-firing ceramic technology can use the metal with low resistivity. The antenna made by LTCC can realize complex 3D layers with small volume and low weight. The LTCC antenna is easy to integration and surface conformal. In this paper, the meander line and the helical LTCC antenna are analyzed and discussed in detail. The main work of this paper is as follows: This paper Summarizes the basic principle and parameters of the LTCC antenna, summing up the miniaturization and multi-band method of the LTCC antenna, discussing the meander line and the helical LTCC antenna and discussing the impedance matching method of the LTCC antenna.For the meander line LTCC antenna,a WLAN and WiMAX band LTCC antenna is designed with dimensions of 4mm×15mm×0.5mm. The upper radiation element is directly fed and the lower radiation element is fed through the metal capacitive coupling. Simulation results show that the antenna resonance frequency are 2.55 GHz,3.55 GHz and 5.25 GHz and the antenna can meet the demand for mobile communication.For the helical LTCC antenna,two LTCC antennas working on WCDMA band are designed. Dimensions of the antenna are 3mm×10mm×0.94 mm and 4mm×10mm×0.94 mm with the capacitive coupling feed metal plate. Simulation results show that the antenna can be used for WCDMA band. The radiation pattern of the antenna is omnidirectional with good gain. In order to verify the simulation result, a WCDMA band LTCC antenna with the meander line and the helical line is manufactured. Testing results show that the meander line and the helical LTCC antenna works well and can meet the demand for mobile communication.
