Miniaturized broadband patch antenna is developed in recent decades,as an important part of wireless communication,which can complete signal transmitting and receiving,signal processing,energy conversion and other functions,and its development has attracted much attention.Due to its advantages such as miniaturization,wide frequency band,easy fabrication,it has become a research hotspot in the fields of antenna research.In this paper,through the research of small broadband patch antenna with the current path meandering technology that can effectively change the surface current path of antenna patch,and the full wave electromagnetic simulation software based on finite element method,a variety of small broadband antennas with broadband,versatile application and stable performance have been successfully proposed.All the antennas designed have been simulated and optimized time by time,part of these were fabricated and measured,and measured results are in good agreement with the simulation.The main research contents are as follows:1.The antenna meandering technologies on the case of microstrip feed have been studied.The important influence of the introduction of various slot structures,multi-level trapezoidal structure and angle cut processing on the bandwidth,impedance matching and surface current distribution of antennas were discussed and analyzed.Combined with a variety of meandering structure,a double band-notched UWB antenna,a triple band-notched UWB antenna and a multiple band-notched UWB antenna were designed.The simulation results show that the antennas designed have good band suppression characteristics and good performance.2.The antenna meandering technologies on the case of cpw feed have been studied.The functions of the introduction of umbrella structure,multi-level trapezoidal structure,tuning stub and angle cut processing in reducing the antennas size,broaden the bandwidth of the antennas and optimized impedance matching were discussed and analyzed.Combined with a variety of meandering structure,a small broadband antenna across the middle and low frequency with the band of3.55-6.75 GHz and a small broadband antenna across the middle and high frequencywith the band of 8.6-12.1GHz were designed.The simulation results show that the antennas designed have a larger bandwidth,good impedance matching and stable gain characteristics.3.The experimental results verified the methods based on the meandering technologies that can achieve the miniaturization,broadband and notch characteristics of the antenna.The effects of these methods on the surface current distribution,the return loss and the voltage standing wave ratio of the antenna were discussed and analyzed.The double band-notched UWB antenna,triple band-notched UWB antenna and multiple band-notched UWB antennas were simulated and fabricated.With the support of the open laboratory of Rhodes and Schwartz in Beijing,the antennas designed were measured.The measured results were in good agreement with the simulation data,which verified the accuracy of these antennas design.
