Research And Application Of The Description Method Of The Atomic Services In Extensible Network Service Model

As the core of the network architecture,the network service model has evolved from the best-effort service model to the integrated and differentiated service model in order to deal with increasingly diversified service requirements.Traditional network service model implements the services'extensibility by adjusting architecture and adding protocol patches,but these methods can't fully meet the demand of increasingly complex network applications.So the extensibility of network service capability becomes the key and core of the new generation network architecture.At present,there is no research on the network service model,whether it is evolutionary or revolutionary.Concept of the extensible network service model(ENSM)has been proposed by the Southeast University.It improves the service's extensibility of the model with the idea of abstracting the basic functional units from network protocols to construct atomic services and combining them on-demand.As one of the core elements,the description of atomic services is the basis of services provision for ENSM,and determines the performance of services' extensibility for ENSM.This thesis is concentrating on the research and application of description method of the atomic service in ENSM.Firstly,this thesis was initially investigating the basic principles of the ENSM,especially for the service provisioning and service extension mechanisms.Starting from the basic principles of the model and combining with the common elements and characteristics of network services,the unified atomic service's description method associating conceptual model and functional description was studied and provided.Then the concrete implementation mechanism of the description method was been elaborated.After that,basic atomic services were implemented applying the atomic service's description method with corresponding examples,and the extended description of atomic services were achieved using its own feature of extensibility.The network services' provision and expansion were implemented by applying atomic service's description method and corresponding application examples indirectly,via rebuilding a connected and connectionless network communicationservice and extending connected communication service.Lastly,the network experiment platform that supports the extensible network service model was constructed,the accessibility of atomic service's description method and the support about service provisioning and service extension of the model from atomic service's description method were verified by the experiments.
