The electromagnetic scattering problems of radar targets.are important research issues in the study of electromagnetic enginnering,and how to calculate the scattering field of targets accurately and efficiently has always been the hotspot in the field of computational electromagnetics.High-frequency asymptotic algorithms based on ray tracing are currently widely used as high-frequency asymptotic techniques,while graphics cards can significantly improve clipping efficiency using the hardware depth buffer(Z-Buffer)fast blanking technology,but hardware Z-Buffer technology is usually only applicable in the plane wave excitation.In this dissertation,the hardware and software Z-Buffer technology is used to solve the calculation problems about electromagnetic scattering characteristics under plane wave and point source excitation for electrical large and complex targets.The main content of this dissertation include:1.The basic principles of Z-Buffer technology is introduced from theoretical basis.Then based on the theoretical basis of electromagnetic scattering,the basic concepts of physical optics(PO)and the basic formulas for solving the scattering field are introduced.The detailed derivation process and the final form are given for the scattering field calculation formulas under the plane wave and the point source excitation respectively.2.The realization method of hardware Z-Buffer technology in the field of electromagnetic algorithm is studied.The rendering process of OpenGL graphics is introduced,and then the realization principle of Z-Buffer in OpenGL are analysed,the detailed realization process of the algorithm under plane wave excitation are received at the same time.The practicability of the algorithm is verified by some typical electromagnetic cases.3.The realization process of Angular Z-Buffer,one of the software Z-Buffer methods,is studied for point source electromagnetic scattering analysis.The area of targets under the excitation of point source is partitioned by the spatial division method of Angular Z-Buffer.Using the projection and two-dimensional Boolean techniques to identify the visible surfaces of targets and then calculate their electromagnetic scattering field.At last,the correctness of the algorithm is verified by several examples.4.On the basis of' summarizing the content and research results of the full text,the improvement strategy of the Z-Buffer electromagnetic algorithm for hardware and software in the future is briefly described in combination with current work.The method implemented in this dissertation can be used not only alone.but also can be combined with other ray tracing algorithms,such as Kd-Tree based beam tracing algorithm,to realize quick judgment of the first reflective visible surface.
