The Application Of Situation-experience-tour Based On Mobiling AR

Augmented Reality(AR)based on smartphone is the technology to combine the virtual with real scenes.Besides the areas like advertisement,education and GIS,Augmented Reality is also applied in tourism in large scale.As the symbol touring spot in Tianjing,the Five Grand Avenue is a historical street in China and the represent of open scenic spots.According to the research of the Fifth Avenue,there are some problems including the unclear guidance,over-commercialization,single touring style and shortage of deep feeling etc.This paper,above the appearing problems,presents a whole new concept,Situational Experience Tour.Situational Experience Tour is supported by AR,Realistic modeling technology and Tracking registration technology,combining the digital films with real scenes technologically.Because of the characters,broad region and dispersed spots,of the Five Grand Avenue,various data-collecting methods have to be used,and the completed virtual 3D model,after location scene is obtained,will be attached to the specific spatial coordinates and showed with the rendering of the time-suitable style.When touring in the open scenery spot,tourists can use the App in the smart phone to scan the spot to identify the background media data or digital animation,which helps them gain the ample feeling of staying in the real scene.Building the concept of situational experience tour,and creating Apps,is necessary to solve,firstly,the problems of some open scenery spots like the Five Grand Avenue,and secondly to satisfy the users' need derived in the time of the Internet.This research can be extended to other spots like Shishahai,Phoenix Town and Lijiang River or some museums,and also can help to spread and convey the history playback.
