Communication technology is developing rapidly,while the application range of satellite communication technology is more and more extensive.Multi-satellite communication system has a strong coverage,and plays an important role in satellite communication technology research.Communication technology need communication protocol to support,therefore,research and development on satellite communication protocol is an important work to promote the development of new communication technology.This paper focuses on a multi-satellite communication system in which a ring of six satellites surrounds the Earth,the service area between two adjacent satellites partially overlap.Each satellite in the system can provide voice service to subscribers in its coverage area,two adjacent satellites transmit signaling messages and voice through inter-satellite links.The ground network management and satellite transmit the signaling message through the wireless link,and the ground terminal and the satellite transmit the signaling message and the voice through the wireless link.The aim of this paper is to design a communication prototype of communication protocol suitable for the system and to implement the protocol according to the content of the prototype of communication protocol.Based on analyzing the function of the communication system,this paper divides the network nodes of the system into satellite nodes,user terminal nodes(terminai nodes)and network management nodes,and analyzes the functional requirements of their satellite nodes.This paper defines the protocol of satellite nodes as the application layer protocol and divides it into call management module and satellite network module,and uses Message Sequence Chart(MSC)to describe and design communication process of these modules,and uses SDL(Specification and Description Language)on the call management module for more detailed design,the protocol message format is defined.Based on the existing design,the protocol is realized in the Linux environment by using computer communication to simulate prototype of communication protocol.This paper tests the prototype of communication protocol in Linux simulation environment.The test results show that the prototype of communication protocol can meet all the basic requirements of user calls in the simulation environment.The research results of this paper can provide valuable references for the improvement of the related agreements and the follow-up research.
