With the continuous development of modern military satellite networks,the existing microwave satellite network which may be affected by the weather conditions in a certain extent has gradually become difficult to meet the high-rate and real-time transmission requirements.Laser communication has the advantages of high transmission speed,security and light equipment,but it is greatly influenced by weather conditions.So laser and microwave hybrid satellite communication networks which combine the advantages of laser communication and microwave communication is an important development direction of modern military satellite networks.The introduction of laser communicationto existing microwave satellite networks brings many information transfer forms,so we need to study the new signaling protocol to support it.Therefore,research on signaling protocol in laser-microwave hybrid satellite networks is significant.This dissertationdescribes the function and structure of hybrid satellitenetworks,analyses and summarizes the existing signaling protocols.We describe the messages,objects and working process of the Resource ReSerVation Protocol-Traffic Engineering(RSVP-TE)signaling protocol in detail.According to the characteristics of large delay,relativelyhigh bit error ratioand limited processing capability within satellite switching node in satellite network,wepropose two kinds of signaling protocol schemes for hybrid satellite networks after the analysis on the functionalrequirements of hybrid satellite networkssignaling system,and compare these two signaling protocol schemes.According to functional requirements of the signaling protocol,we complete the design and implementation of some function modules of the signaling protocol based on the signaling system framework structure.The test of the prototype implementation of signaling protocol in the simulation environment is also performed.
