The Design And Implementation Of The Online Library Management System

With the rapid development of computer and network technology,all fields in industry have been widely using library management system to strengthen the information management,which has become an essential business strategy of the traditional library industry.With the deep development of the library business,there comes along new business and new situation.Therefore the library management system requirements are increasingly high.But now most of the library management software only has a basic function of lending and returning,which is very fragile under the rapid development of Internet and electronic commerce.Now we have 464000000 mobile phone users in China,78.5%of which use mobile phone to get access to Intemet.Moreover,more and more people hope that they can borrow the books they want at their own homes.So,to provide a convenient,quick and personalized information service for the readers has become a very urgent task for the library management system.Therefore,it is imperative to develop an online library management system which is suitable for the commercial application of the social demand.This paper mainly introduces the whole design and development process of online library management system using ASP.NET and Server SQL database,as well as B/S mode.The system can be installed on a server and get access to LAN or the WEB.It has a foreground and a management background.Foreground allows reader to scan the book information,to make inquiries and do Categorized Search.User center can achieve the borrowing,collection and review,recharge,personal information maintenance,and they can check on the books that have been borrowed.The management background helps achieve the integrated management of all information,such as manageable books and the readers.Moreover,it can do the borrowing,returning,renewing,charging,statistic queries,and etc.The main innovation of this design:for the books management system management system has added more functions to adapt to the needs of modern society.For example,readers can register themselves,have a self-help books retrieval,learn about the details of the book,submit borrowing application online,pay and renew online,choose membership type,and they also can borrow books through apps on the hand phones.
