In recent years,due to its perspectiveness and broad application prospects,internet of things(IOT)has become a hot research area.As an actual application of the internet of things,a surveilling system is designed based on the 6LoWPAN technology for monitoring the states of the equipment in factories in this thesis.This paper focuses on the realization of perception layer in the IOT model which in essence is a 6LoWAPN network composed of three main parts: the embedded gateway,the acquisition node and the routing node.Firstly,in the application layer,the HTTP protocol is used,in the transport layer,the UDP protocol is used,in the network layer the u IP protocol is used,in the MAC layer the Rime protocol is employed.All these protocols are combined to form the 6LoWPAN protocol stack which is then integrated into the TI RF chip CC2538 with Contiki OS.Upon these procedures,wireless RF module(that is the core of 6LoWPAN network)is developed.Secondly,based on the analysis of the requirements in factory equipment data acquisition,an electric energy collector and a temperature & humidity collector are developed and combined with the wireless module to form acquisition nodes.The electric power collector is developed with the ADE7880 chip as the acquisition module while the temperature and humidity collector is developed with the HUATO temperature and humidity meter as the acquisition module.In these two collectors,the STM32 is applied as the control module and the CC2538+CC2592 is employed as the wireless module.Then,an embedded gateway is designed and realized based on the commercial grade control board EPC-287C-L.The Linux OS is transplanted and then the program of protocol conversion and data transmission,the HTTP communication library and the serial communication library are encapsulated for call.With the above procedures,the three main parts of the 6LoWAPN network are completed.Finally,the web server application and RESTful API in the server for testing connectivity and reliability of the network,the functionality of this system are developed.
