Project schedule management is a major component of project management and plays an important role in project management.Applying the methodology of project progress management to the development and management of software projects is conducive to saving project construction time,exerting project management efficiency,improving development quality and reducing development cost.Based on the theories and methods of the project schedule management,this paper takes the data management information system project developed by China Unicom Guangxi Subsidiary as the research subject,With relative researches on the project business demand and functional demand,analyzing the existing problems in the project development process as well as the original Management model,the conclusion is that there is a serious lag in the implementation progress of the project.The research shows the main problem of the project schedule management:the lack of specific consideration of the project.The project adopts advanced Hadoop technology,but only a small number of the team members own the project development experience,at the same time,there is no an effective standard as reference during the advanced data warehouse technology architecture construction progress,all these make the project schedule uncontrollable.In view of the above problems,the paper puts forward the specific progress management measures and uses the agile development means to carry on the project progress management.This paper focuses on the role of agile development schedule management plays how to shorten the project period and how to acquire and verify the information during project progress.By strictly controlling the changes of project requirements makes sure the project needs in a certain range;Uses the Gantt chart to split the project into multiple milestone events,and control the whole project by the completion of multiple milestone events.Establish effective communication mechanism and avoid blindly advancing project progress may affect project implementation quality,these measures which have solved the lagging of the project progress,provided an effective guarantee for project construction as scheduled,saved the project cost at the same time,avoided the losses due to project delay.The research of this paper makes explorative efforts on the project progress management of data management information system which is being constructed by China Unicom Guangxi Subsidiary.At the same time,it also has some certain significance to other similar software project progress management.
