The traditional university laboratory management system is confused in management,prone to error,ineffective in device management due to manual operation,so it is difficult to carry out laboratory research and teaching.With the increase in number of university teachers and students,the traditional lab management is unable to meet the needs of carrying out emerging scientific experiments.In response to the calls of "smart campus" in China,universities have bought large equipment and built a lot of computer rooms,electronic or physics laboratories.The scale of the teaching laboratory is expanding,how to better manage and use the equipment,realize scientific and safe management,make the teaching laboratory can provide better service,play the corresponding positive role,this is an important problem to be solved.As the most commonly used networking communications technology,radio frequency identification is an application technology that has promising future.The technology has permeated into every aspect of people's lives as well as industry,agriculture and other areas relying on its own advantages,and has brought convenience to people's lives.An introduction is made in this paper of the background and significance of the subject as well as the research status of the Internet of Things,and then a detailed description of related technology of the internet of Things and the development of university laboratories are made,then an analysis is made of the actual demand of the university laboratory management respectively from the perspectives of user,system functions and system performance,the necessity of improvements on traditional management systems and the advantages of the improved system are elaborated.Features of RFID technology is adopted to build university laboratory management system based on RFID technology.The system is designed and realized according to system requirements and overall system architecture.With the design and implementation of RFID-based university laboratory management system,the efficiency of laboratory management is enhanced,labor intensity of laboratory personnel is reduced,real time monitoring of experimental teaching process for teachers and students and the experimental environment are improved,informationization,intelligence and automation of laboratory management are furtherrealized.RFID technology application models makes the university laboratory closer to the intelligent management;we believe it can provide some reference for the colleges to carry out study on intelligence campus.Opportunities and challenges coexist.From a technical point of view,during the specific implementation process of the subject,many problems should be considered and solved,such as the development of uniform standards,compatibility of the new system with conventional technologies,etc.The resolution of these problems is related to the perfection of system model,which will be the focal point of our further work.
