Experimental teaching is an indispensable part of teaching links in universities.In order to serve teachers and students better,it is necessary to manage laboratories scientifically and standardizedly.However,the degree of automation and informationization is not high in existing ways of managing laboratories,and the way of managing laboratories by manually registering is still adopted in most universities.Recently,with the rapid development of the Internet of Things technology,the highly efficient operation of laboratories can be guaranteed by designing the laboratory management system based on this kind of technology.In this dissertation,by taking into account the three layers of the Internet of things perception layer,network layer and application layer,we develop the laboratory management system with the functions of the laboratory equipment management,the laboratory environment monitoring and the experimental teaching for general application scenarios.The laboratory management system consists of three modules,i.e.,the information acquisition module,the central controller module and the storage application module.Firstly,the information acquisition module is designed to realize the function of perception layer.The real-time environmental information is collected by sensors and transmitted by the Zigbee protocol,and the coded information about devices is retrieved by the scanning gun.Secondly,the central controller module is developed for the wired transmission of network layer.With ARM controller as the core unit,the embedded system is constructed,by which the information of perception layer can be relayed and transmitted.Then,the storage application module is implemented to realize the function of the application layer.The data information of database storage system is established by My SQL and the application programs of Web and Android are developed for actual requirements,respectively.Meanwhile,the corresponding solutions for measurement errors in the information acquisition module and congestion problems during the transmission process are proposed.In the information acquisition module,the mean of collected data is fed back to users and the sample standard deviation is used as an alarm reference to ensure the data accuracy.In the central controller module,the system transmission model is established.Moreover,the simulation for the potential congestion problems during transmitting is executed by TCP congestion control algorithms with NS-2 and the appropriate congestion control scheme is selected to improve the system stability.Test results demonstrate that the implemented laboratory management has the characteristics of performance stability,data accuracy,reliable transmission and high compatibility,which can meet the requirements of the current university laboratory management task as well as provide a new way for students to obtain the experimental teaching resources.
