With the rapid development of mobile Internet, the traffic volume and data volume on the core network EPC(Evolved Packet Core)are also rapidly growing.Once the core network server goes down due to a failure, the entire communication network will be paralyzed.Which would cause irreparable data loss and economic losses. Therefore, ensuring the high availability of the core network system is of great significance.Traditional high-availability systems generally can be divided into shared storage-based hardware backup and non-shared storage-based commercial software backup two modes, although both can guarantee the high availability of the core network system, but the economic cost is too high.In order to take advantage of both technical reliability and low price, this thesis builds a dual-system hot backup system based on the OpenSAF source project, which not only realizes long-term and reliable operation o f the EPC system at a low cost, but also has good scalability and is conducive to the further development and maintenance for developers according to the requirement. And has established the environment verifying to meet the expected results. The innovation of this thesis can be summarized as follows:(1)An OpenSAF-based backup strategy is designed, which not only reduces the data backup time, but also makes the backup data more co mplete and accurate, and improves the reliability of the system.(2)A switching strategy that combines OpenSAF and SCTP hot backup is designed. The switching delay has been reduced to 300 ms.Compared with the average delay of 5 to 180 seconds, the delay of this solution is extremely small, reached the effect of users having no perception.
