LMS(Least Mean Square error)adaptive filter can adjust the filter coefficient automatically according to the changes in the environment,keep the optimal filtering,it has the advantages of simple structure,small computational complexity,the characteristics of easy hardware implementation,was widely applied in predicting noise cancellation,channel equalization,signal,signal enhancement,and other fields.With the development of information technology,more and more high to the requirement of filter operation speed,how to design a high speed,stable performance of filter is the current LMS adaptive filter a technical problem of practical application."Wan electromagnetic receiver based on FPGA is presented in this paper the key(15 a106)" digital signal processing technology research,with the support of education department of Hunan province key scientific research project using cut set timing technology,using DSP Builder software development method of system modeling,study the FPGA realization method of the LMS adaptive filter,paper main work and innovations are as follows:The basic theory of the LMS adaptive filtering algorithm was first studied in this paper,the algorithm program,on the Matlab platform to build the model of LMS adaptive noise cancellation and conducted a series of simulation and analysis,probes into the iteration step length and the number of filter order key parameters effect the performance of the filtering mechanism,lays a foundation for hardware implementation.By using the method of cut set heavy timing serial LMS adaptive filter structure optimized design,effectively reduces the critical path,improves the operation speed of filter,get an improved new LMS adaptive filter.On this basis,the method using DSP Builder system modeling,building before and after the improved fourth order LMS adaptive noise cancellation filter model,and a simulation was carried out.After successful simulation will be improved and two kinds of LMS adaptive model is converted into VHDL hardware description language,call Modelsim software for RTL register transfer level simulation and analysis,and then call the Quartus II software compiled,adaptation and time series analysis,on the same kind of FPGA chip,both before and after comparison and analysis of the improved LMS adaptive filter resource consumption and speed indicator.The results show that the two kinds of LMS adaptive filter before and after the improvement basic quiet,resource consumption improved LMS adaptive filter to improve the computing speed was substantial.
