With the development of our country's economy and information technology,people's living standard has been improved and people's life style has been changed.At the same time,the number of the elderly population is also increasing,work takes up the most time of their children,there is no free time at home for the elderly whenever necessary,the problem of care for the elderly has arisen in many families during the daily life.Indoor home is the place that the elderly most willing to stay and spend the most time.However,there are some dangerous situations such as house illegal invasion,gas leakage and fall events in the daily household,which cause safety problems for indoor elderly life and property.Therefore,to construct a smart,healthy,and safe home environment for remote care of the elderly,which is the common goal of each family to pursue.This paper mainly designs and implements a smart remote care system,not only realized the functions of the remote care for elderly daily home environment,but also achieved the goal of the remote care for the elderly's fall events,that is to provide a guarantee for the health and safety of elderly in daily life.Through analyzing the whole function and performance of the system,combining with the characteristics of the system,the paper designs the whole structure of the system,the hardware and software of each function module,and puts forward a smartphone-based fall detection algorithm for real-time detection of elderly falls in the elderly fall detection function module,so that whose children can find the elderly fall timely,to reduce the injury caused by fall in the elderly.At last,IAR and MyEclipse development platform and Java technology were used to develop and implement the function modules of the system,and the basic functions of the system were tested.Test results show that the system has achieved the functional requirements of the intelligent remote care for the elderly in daily life.
