The Study Of Reliability And Test Method Of Broadband Remote Access Server

With the continuous developments and updates of Internet technology,broadband network has gradually become the key of network operators for the network market.User access is the basic function and critical business of the broadband network,along with the rapid growth of the number of users and access bandwidth,its reliability directly determines the quality of the broadband network.According to the analysis of current status of BRAS in the broadband network,shows the study of its reliability and implementation are inevitable.Based on High-end router project of H3 C company,the topic mainly studies the realization process of user session information real-time backup of broadband remote access server,proposed the double-machine hot backup and IRF backup solution,laboratory simulation test results show that H3 C company 's BRAS equipment can meet the needs of the business of operator level;Aiming at its test requirements,develop the corresponding automation test script,the script can reduce the limitations of manual test to a certain extent,and complete efficiently and reliably.In this paper,the main work includes: firstly,introduce the key technology of BRAS and related services,including the PPP link protocol,PPPoE access,authentication protocol and business controls.Second,focus on studying the implementation details of the double-machine hot backup solution and IRF backup solution,and put forward a kind of automatic deduction mechanism based on Survival mode of the RADIUS server,double-machine hot backup solutions include: the user session real-time backup,fault detection,the switch between main BRAS device and standby BRAS device,traffic switch and traffic back cut after recovery,and introduced and compared the four traffic switch solutions;IRF backup solution is independent research and development technology of H3 C company,mainly introduce the software architecture,system management and process after division.Then,double-machine hot backup solution for BRAS equipment and IRF backup scheme,design test cases and laboratory simulation network for double-machine hot backup solution and IRF backup solution of BRAS device,perform the test and analysis the results.Finally,study the test design of BRAS,major research on BRAS are test design strategy,test point and test point design thinking;And introduce the automated test of BRAS.
