The Construction And Application Of Healthy Diet Knowledge Base Based On Ontology

Unhealthy diets is major risk factor of a series of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease,cancer and diabetes.A comprehensive and effective healthy food knowledge base can provide people with healthy dietary information,which helps people to stay healthy and resist diseases.Ontology can describe the knowledge of any field objectively.Ontology provides knowledge base with professional vocabularies and hierarchical structure of domain concepts by defining the terms and their concepts' relationship.The knowledge base can use the domain terminology which provided by ontology to describe the domain knowledge,meanwhile,the knowledge base can deduce the new knowledge with the existing facts and inference rules with the assistance of the inference machine.This study introduces the research status quo of ontology and healthy diet systematically,expounds the deficiency of traditional healthy diet system in knowledge query,analyzes the reasons and uses the ontology knowledge base to solve the problem.Firstly,we use ontology editing tool Protégé and OWL to establish healthy diet ontology knowledge base and construct a relevant inference rule according to domain knowledge and users' needs;Secondly,we describe the inference rule with SWRL Language;Thirdly,OWL Ontology and SWRL Rules are reasoned by Drools inference engine and the generated new knowledge are assessed and then join into the ontology knowledge base.At last,we use Jena,SPARQL and the Chinese word segmentation tools to manage and query the healthy diet ontology knowledge base.By then,we built a healthy diet query system based on the healthy diet ontology knowledge base.
