Application Of Virtual Reality Technology In Digital Museum

Digital museum is the development and extension of tangible museums in the information era.As the distributed scale data information center that has no limits from space and time,such means of storing and using information has become an important developmental tendency for current museum construction.Through the extension of this media,traditional museums have realized wider and more comprehensive informational transmissions.The occurrence of this transmission means has also brought unprecedented challenges to traditional museums.The virtual reality(VR)technology is a comprehensive technology integrated with multiple subjects and fields.In this context,researching the application of virtual technology in digital museums especially in the current environment with cloud technological development is of significant importance to promote the scientific and fast development of Chinese digital museums.Taking Hubei Museum as its research object,the thesis adopts the literature research method,field survey method,empirical analysis,comparative analysis and other research means to research and analyze the role played by VR technology in the construction of digital museums,specific realization process and its influences on traditional museums.Meanwhile,it evaluates the necessity and feasibility of using VR technology to construct high-quality digital museums.
