The way of people's learning,thought,production and living has changed greatly owning to the development of information technology such as internet,cloud computing and big data.The high-performance computing plays an important role in cloud computing and big data.The designing of autonomic high-performance blade server which uses domestic Central Processing Unit(CPU)and Operating System is of great importance to the information system and security in our country.The system's Reliability,Availability and Serviceability(RAS)are great essential as the blade servers become more high-performing.In this paper,we analyze the state-of-art of Monitoring Management System(MMS)used by the servers.According to the characteristics of domestic CPU and the actual application environment,as well as the drawbacks of popular used MMS in the market,we design and implement an intelligent MMS aiming to the autonomic blade servers.The main research work is as follows:1.We propose a hierarchical monitoring architecture combining Baseboard Management Controller(BMC)with System Management Controller(SMC).BMC is responsible of the board-level monitoring,and provides the interface for information collection and control.The system-level monitoring is managed by SMC,which provides Web-based interface for users.2.In order to conduct the drawbacks of wire-based designing and using in monitoring management system,we explore the Bluetooth-based Environment Management Ctroller(EMC)and WiFi-based mobile Human-computer interaction.EMC is responsible for chassis environment monitoring,and interact with SMC through Bluetooth communication,which can effectively solve the problem of layout restricted by the chassis structure.The WiFi-based mobile provides a friendly way of Human-computer interaction when nobody is in charge of monitoring blade servers.3.According to the requirement of monitoring system,as well as the characteristics of domestic CPU such as integrated netcards and open registers,we design the function module for the monitoring software.Specifically,we propose an intelligent method of IP/MAC setting for the whole system,which can manage the network address including inband and outband,and significantly improve the efficiency of network configuration.4.System implementation and test.We verify and test the effectivity of our monitoring management software function though how to achieve the typical function modules.The results of testing show that,the autonomic blade servers can be satisfied with our intelligent monitoring management system.
