With the rapid development of China's coal industry,the coal mine belt conveyor as the main transportation equipment in coal mine plays an important role in the transportation of coal mine.But the accident associated with belt conveyor is one of the factors hindering the development of coal mine.How to ensure the safe and reliable operation counts for a great deal in efficient production of coal mine.The protection and fault diagnosis system of coal mine belt conveyor are important parts of coal mine safety monitoring system.The research status at home and abroad of belt conveyor protection and fault diagnosis system are analyzed.And then,its structure,failure mechanism and characteristics are also summarized.In order to solve the key problems in the protection and fault diagnosis of belt conveyor,first of all,the safety protection and technical index of the belt conveyor,the communication interface technology of safety monitoring network and the software platform of the host computer are studied in depth.In addition,the signal analysis and fault diagnosis technology of belt conveyor are studied.Next,an overall design is put forward to protect and diagnose the mine belt conveyor.The protection and fault diagnosis system of the mine belt conveyor is designed,including the data acquisition,the data communication interface and the monitoring software of the host computer.First,the S3C2440 controller is connected with the main controller of the belt conveyor through the RS-485 bus,and the fusion communication between the Smart Node wireless module and the vibration acquisition nodes leads to integrated protection of belt conveyor.Then,the monitoring data is transferred to the coal mine monitoring station based on Modbus/TCP protocol.Finally,The fault need to be recognized with empirical mode decomposition(EMD)and genetic algorithm error back propagation(GA-BP)neural network model before displayed,stored,analyzed,alarmed and managed the status information of the belt conveyor.Through the test,the experimental results are consistent with the theoretical analysis,and achieve the design goal.The system of belt conveyor protection and fault diagnosis system can realize the reliable protection and the rapid diagnosis of the fault of the belt conveyor,such as the deviation of the belt conveyor,the slipping and over temperature.The system solves the problems of safety protection and fault recognition of the mine belt conveyor,and achieves the requirements of accurate detection,prompt response and stable communication.In a word,the system can effectively promote coal mine safety production,and has important engineering application and theoretical research value.
