Investigating The Influence Of Familiarity Mechanism,the Mediaand The Refuter On The Spreading Of Rumors

Due to the spreading of rumors,social panic and turmoil events happened endless in recent years which has brought huge economic losses to the country and society because of the development of social media.So the study of rumor spreading mechanism is becoming increasingly important.Based on the reality,this paper studied the spreading of rumors from different sides including the individual itself,the relationship between individuals,official media and unofficial media in homogeneous random networks and established corresponding rumor spreading models.Mean-field methods was used to analyzed its stability.Simulation results showed that these three factors all have vital influence to the rumor spreading in our model.The details can be summarized into the following three aspects:Firstly,establishing SEIR Rumor Spreading Model by using Mean-field Equation.Considering the influence of the degree of familiarity between individuals and the impact of contact rates on rumor spreading to study the mechanism of rumor spreading.We find that familiarity is proportional to the final scale of rumor spreading and contact rate is inversely proportional to the final scale of rumor spreading.A transcendental equation was obtained by analyzing the stability of the mean-field equation and we analyzed a non-zero solution of it.The results showed that the rumor spreading can be controlled when ?(27)1and can't be controlled when ?(29)1.Secondly,the SEIR rumor spreading model was established by using the Meanfield Equation to study the mechanism of rumor spreading by considering official and unofficial media factors.The simulation results showed that unofficial media not only can reduce the number of spreaders,but also can slow down the speed of rumor spreading while official media can only affect the number of spreaders.So the rumor can be controlled more effectively and quickly through supervising unofficial media than official media in rumor spreading.Thirdly,using the Mean-field Equation to describe the dynamic evolution of rumor spreading.Established a SIR1R2 rumor spreading model by considering the refute individuals to study the mechanism of rumor spreading.The spreading threshold was obtained by the stability analysis.We find that the spreading threshold is related to the mean degree and the forgetting rate.We also analyzed the role of the refute individuals in the model and got conclusion that the refute individuals in the model can inhibit the spreading of rumors and effectively prevent the spreading of rumors.
