The inventory management already becomes important headspring to reduce the cost and to increase profit for the enterprise.This paper regards FiveStar Co. as the research object, and on the basis of studying ERP history and its development in the future, it analyses the characteristics and environment of this company, and according to the principles of ERP, this paper adjusts and integrats the business of company's inventory management, and developes the management information system of the inventory in enterprise ERP system.This paper also analyzes the company's present sale situation and studies the characteristics of the inventory in the company who sells this kind of products, and further puts forward the dual critical control mechanism for the enterprise's inventory manage. In the research of inventory optimization this paper considers the time sequence of the sales volume, and carries on the qualitative analysis and metered calculations to its estimate. After comprehensive comparison of the results of the different methods, this paper choses to make use of the smooth method of the trend index number to set up the estimate model. According to the relation between sale and inventory, this paper makes the reasonable order strategy and the proper mothod of the inventory control for the enterprise, which depends on the relevant theories of the economic order quality (EOQ).The research of this paper has the important realistic significance and practical values. First, from part to whole, it analyzes the characteristics of the product of independent need and short life cycle, and put forward the corresponding countermeasure mechanism of the inventory control. Next, in the process of the inventory's optimization it acquires the better mathematics model aiming at a realistic problem of the enterprise and the model raises the estimate accuracy, and reduces the inventory quantity, lowering the inventory funds and thus is advantageous to economic performance of the enterprise. Now the model is integrated in inventory management information system of the enterprise and it fully supports the enterprise decision-making on foundation of the enterprise's inventory management.
