Backlight module is widely used in advertising light boxes,LCD TVs,warning signs and other fields.High-performance backlight technology is not yet very mature,How to improve the backlight module performance and brightness uniformity and other issues is very important,It is of great significance to carry out the research of related methods.LED as a backlight with high brightness,wide color gamut,high dynamic range and some other advantages is to replace the traditional Cold cathode fluorescent lamp backlight.As a new type of green light source,the emitting mechanism and structure of LED is completely different from conventional light Cold cathode fluorescent lamp.In this paper,with LED as the backlight,the light distributing of side-entry backlight module and straight down backlight module is respectively studied and designed.Firstly,in this paper,the most important optical device light guide plate in the side-entry backlight module is introduced in detail.The classification production method and working principle of the light guide plate are described.Then,the light source LED,the diffusion plate,the reflection film and the prism film in the straight down backlight module are introduced in detail.Secondly,the design theory of the light guide plate of the side entry type backlight module is introduced in detail.The simplified model of light guide plate and LED light source is designed by optical simulation software.The influence of the no dot structure,the uniform dot structure and the gradation structure on the uniformity of the light guide plate is analyzed by the method of seventeen points.In view of these design methods can not improve the uniformity of the larger size light guide plate,After analysis,the distribution structure of non-uniform network is made to make the uniformity reach 81.5%.Then through the simulation analysis proposed the use of formula method for network distribution.The problem of the light guide plate is not suitable for large size backlight module is solved,After simulation,the degree of uniformity was 93.9%.And then to the side of the backlit module design provides a certain design ideasFinally,the way of the light source arrangement in the direct backlight module is studied,Combined with the rectangular arrangement and the staggered arrangement put out the way in which the outer comb is arranged.Not only to achieve uniformity of 80.01%,but also conducive to the module cooling.For the direct type of backlight design provides a certain design ideas.
