With the rapid development of video transmission technology,long distance transmission HD video to become a trend.In this paper,the video transmission system can improve the clarity and video transmission distance.The system uses FPGA capture VGA/DVI video data,transmission and display of uncompressed HD video by Gigabit Transceiver GTP and optical fiber.The research contents and results of this paper mainly include:1)Design of video data optical fiber transmission based on GTP.The GTP core is used to convert the 32 bit parallel video data to the high speed serial data.In order to improve the performance of channel DC equalization,using 8B/10 B coding;in order to align the byte boundary,insert comma character in the video data stream,comma character selection K28.5.After sending the high-speed serial data to the SFP optical module performs electrical/optical conversion,transmitted via single-mode fiber.After receiving the signal of the single mode optical fiber,the receiving end carries out the reverse conversion in the SFP optical module and the GTP core,and using the clock data recovery technology to extract recovered clock and data from the serial incoming data stream,output clock signal and the 32 bit parallel data to the FPGA logic finally.2)Software design of HD video transmission system.The system sampling VGA/DVI video signal and data through the interface chip and output to the FPGA.where VGA format requires A/D conversion.FPGA recognize the video format and encoding,proposed a method innovational that insert the video format code into frame synchronous code,insert the frame synchronous code into video data stream and transmitted together during the vertical blanking.After RGB8:8:8 color space conversion to YCbCr4:2:2 of vedio data,performed frame buffer in SDRAM,and transmission through GTP and optical fiber finally.The parallel data stream of the receiving end which is output by the GTP is decoded to get the field synchronization code and the video format code,dynamic reconfiguration of the corresponding pixel clock using the dynamic reconfiguration feature of PLL_ADV,in order to achieve multi-resolution video adaptively.After SDRAM cache and color space conversion,video data is displayed on the LCD monitor.Through the research and design of software and hardware,the system can transmit the non compressed video data at the rate of 2.5G/s;adaptively 720 p,1080p and other 8 kinds of mainstream resolution video transmission and display;switching between different video formats only 2.452us;SDRAM working clock is 150MHz;system can achieve optical fiber hot-plug.Experimental results show that the video transmission system designed in this paper has higher definition and more distant transmission distance,which can meet the vast majority of the video transmission system.
