With the development of science and technology as well as the growth in the amount of information, Video fiber optic transmission technology with its transmission capacity, low transmission loss, anti-electromagnetic interference capability confidentiality become an important technology in military, monitor, cable TV and many other areas of technology. In this paper, combine digital video with optical fiber transmission technology, Design of FPGA-based8-channel video fiber optic transmission systems to complete the design of high-speed video fiber optic transmission system using time division multiplexing and serial transmission. Final transfer rate of2.5Gb/s on a single fiber.System design by the video analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog converter module, FPGA control module and optical transceiver module is composed of three parts. The video analog-to-digital/digital-to-analog converter module of analog/digital,digital/analog conversion were completed by chip AD9280and AD9708. FPGA control module of the completion of the digital video signal8:2multiplexer and2:8points then,8B/10B encoding and decoding as well as a serial-to-parallel conversion and parallel-to-serial conversion and through the software platform Quartusâ…ˇ achieve the function of each part of the verification and simulation, Integrated optical transceiver module the LSI Corporation integrated optical transceiver devices Netlight1417K4A. Finally, the experimental results obtained on the basis of completion of the entire system debugging. The experimental results show that the system is stable, and a clear image screen, the signal transmission to achieve the requirements of the overall design.
