Design And Implementation Of Audio And Video Streams Transmission Module Based On PCI Bus

More and more audio and video information processing devices are used in our daily life with the development of science and technology.In data acquisition system,transmission modules are used to transmit audio and video data.The transmission interfaces are different in many data acquisition systems,and transmission interface design methods are also different.Transmission interface devices have a great demand in market,so research of transmission interface device is hot topic now.Design and implementation of audio and video streams transmission module based on PCI bus is proposed in this paper.To ensure FPGA chip work properly,SPX1117 and LP38853 power chips are used to design power supply circuit for the PLL digital circuit,the PLL analog circuit and other circuits.The transmission module is composed several sub-modules,such as the data two-stage buffer,the function configuration buffer,the pipeline configuration buffer,and the broadcast time buffer.The data two-stage buffer is used to store audio and video streams in the form of ping-pong operation.The function configuration buffer and the pipeline configuration buffer are mainly used to store the parameters of the acquisition system.The broadcast time buffer is used to store the time information from host computer.The EMIF interface module and the SPI interface module are designed for communication between DSP and FPGA.And the PCI bus interface module is designed for communication between FPGA and host computer.Simulation of sub-modules are implemented to verify the function of the transmission module.Board-level test is performed to check the function of data communication between function configuration buffer,pipeline configuration buffer and host computer.Experiment results show that sub-modules of the transmission module can work properly and can transmit audio and video data effectively.
