Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)is a distributed sensing network,which is composed of a peripheral sensor to sense and detect the information of objects in the external world.WSN is widely used in intelligent transportation,intelligent household,security monitoring,environmental monitoring and other fields,which is characterized by its self-organization,omnidirectional,small cost,and simple node.ZigBee technology provides an excellent solution of WSN.ZigBee is a low power local area network protocol based on IEEE802.15.4 standard,which is widely used in short distance communication.And it has the characteristics of close range,low power consumption,low complexity,self-organizing,dynamic routing protocol and so on.This paper aims to build a WSN system based on ZigBee technology and the indoor location algorithm,which realizes real time positioning and management of the vehicles in an indoor parking.The WSN system is divided into Sensor Network part and Data Processing part.The Sensor Network part has a plurality of nodes,which are deployed in the Express station and the vehicle,and the nodes communicate through the ZigBee network to complete the functions including data transmission and the data acquisition of vehicles' positioning information.The Data Processing part has only one node placed in the Express station,which is the root node of all sensor nodes.As the gateway of Sensor Network and Internet,this node aggregates all the information in the sensor network.And it has ability of data processing,including data collection,real-time location of vehicles and transmitting data to the background server through 3G network.The most outstanding feature of the WSN system is the indoor positioning algorithm with a parking space as precision.The characteristics of this WSN system are as follows:the WSN system based on ZigBee,and the real-time positioning algorithm of vehicles in indoor environment.The WSN system based on ZigBee can not only achieve communication between WSN nodes,but also setting the parameters of WSN and managing ZigBee network.And the real-time vehicle positioning algorithm based on marking the location principle and fingerprint algorithm proposed is the foundation to realize the management of vehicle in Express station.The WSN system has been tested in an actual Express station.From the test results,the WSN system has basically achieved the management of Express station in demand.In the aspects of data transmission and processing,the vehicle and driver information can be transmitted to the backstage in real time,and the vehicle positioning accuracy was 79.2%.In the functional aspects of system and network management,the background sever can set parameters of WSN system and ZigBee network in real time,and devices in WSN system can upgrade program easily.The actual test results show that the WSN system realized the management of Express vehicles.
