With a variety of new network technologies,such as cloud computing,data center and game live streams,as well as the demand of users of the network transfer requirements continue to emerge,a series of challenges,technological innovation and quality of traditional networks face ossification of services.Software-defined optical networks can provide a unified scheduling and control for a variety of optical layer resources,meet diverse and complicated business needs by using software programming approach and dynamic customized method.At the same time.As network virtualization technology for solving traditional network rigidities matures,virtualization platform based on software-defined optical network can allocate network resources efficiently and rationally through the use of an optimized virtual network mapping algorithm,making it an effective means to solve the problems of the existing network infrastructure.Therefore,this paper mainly study the design of software-defined optical network and optical network virtualization technology,respectively from three areas,describing its theoretical basis,partial implementation of software-defined optical network architecture based on Open vSwitch and optical network virtualization based on Flowvisor.The main work and innovation of this thesis can be summarized as follows:1)It conduct an in-depth study of the virtualization and software-defined trend of optical network.First,giving a general introduction of concepts of software-defined optical network and OpenFlow protocol.Then,analyzing the key technologies of optical network virtualization and the issues needed to be considered.Last,in accordance with the above requirements,designing one general purpose optical network architecture.2)First,giving a brief introduction of the software-defined optical network.Then,studying the optical extensions of OpenFlow protocol,Open vSwitch virtual switch and OpenDayLight controllers.Finally,partially implementing software-defined optical network based one Open vSwitch.3)Achieving optical network virtualization through optical extension of Flowvisor software.First,introducing Flowvisor and the key technologies of virtual network mapping.Then,achieving optical network virtualization by modifying Flowvisor,establishing the optical network virtualization platform to provide optical networks slicing services.
