In recent years,embedded system develops rapidly and applies widely,plays a more important role in life,science and technology.According to this,the embedded image processing techniques has made considerable development in the field of aerospace,intelligent machinery.With the rapidly development of microprocessor technology,There are an increasing number of development board with the operating system.However,image processing platform based on this type of development board is still in an wanting stage.In this paper,the platform combines image processing techniques and embedded system development techniques,using the comparatively mature embedded development board and operating system,basing on the characteristics of RTEMS,designed and developed the image processing platform.The platform is designed to build a usable embedded platform,which is to complete a series of image processing functions,these functions' interfaces are provided to other developers.Based on this requirement,this paper transplants RTEMS to the loongson 1B first to support the further development of the interfaces,the transplantation mainly include the realization of BSP;then,work on the interfaces,This platform's image processing interfaces mainly includes the single frame picture acquisition,picture processing,picture storage and picture transmission,what is more,the picture processing includes picture gray transformation,picture zooming,picture de-noising,etc.According to the characteristic of the embedded environment,this platform selects the interface which embedded image processing needs,analyses and implements them.Finally,applying this platform to traffic sign recognition,selecting interfaces based on the scene and use them,providing a system routine.This platform makes the process of the embedded image application's development tend to be simple,as well as shorten the development period and improve user-friendly.This paper completes the development of image processing platform based on RTEMS and loongson,enriches the method of embedded image processing,and provides a more effective way of embedded image processing.
