With the rapid development of network information technology,the increasing scale and complexity of IP network,people have further promoted the quality of network service,which gave birth to the multi-path IP transmission system.Multi-path IP transmission system can transmit on multiple paths from the source to the destination IP service data flow at the same time,at the expense of the cost of bandwidth in exchange for business critical data transmission reliability and real time,improve the network robustness.Different strategies are used to deal with different operations,which make the network bandwidth resources be effectively utilized.For such a new multi path IP transmission system to achieve good network management has become an urgent problem to be solved.In this paper,according to the characteristics of multipath IP transmission system,combined with the network management technology,designed a performance and fault management system to manage the multi-path IP transmission system.The system can view real-time traffic information,and can alarm the fault,locate the network line fault point.The main work done in this paper is as follows:Firstly,the SNMP protocol and Web based network management system are studied,and the performance and fault management system based on Browser/Server is built.The whole system is divided into four modules:performance monitoring module,adapter processing module,fault management module,user interface display module.Performance monitoring module through the SNMP protocol,RPC calls and ICMP protocol to achieve the all-round real-time monitoring of network equipment,and the application of the token bucket algorithm solved the network information burst over occupied network bandwidth affect the normal communication problem;adaptive processing module to process the information network equipment,according to the different request of the client browser to return to the corresponding results;fault management module realized real-time alarm for the fault,combined with breadth-first search algorithm in graph theory to locate the line fault;user interface display module using the AJAX technology,completed the display interface of network management information.In this paper,the performance and fault management system of multi-path IP transmission system were tested to verify the availability of the various functions of the system,and the system performance were tested and analyzed.The results show that the system can realize the efficient management of the multi-path IP transmission system.This article research results are applied to the actual network management,robustness and usability of the system has been verified,can make the network management more efficient.
