Research On Interface Design Of Smart Phone For The Elderly Based On Motion Graphics

The emergence of smart phone changes our lives and work,it has become such an electronic device that almost every person carries it around.At the same time as the aging population in China intensifies,the need of elderly for more close linking and more social intercourse methods will certainly be bigger and bigger,and mobile terminal will become an important carrier.As collection of interactive mode connecting the user and its internal system,research on mobile phone interface is also becoming more and more important.As the core element of smart phones,research on the mobile phone soft interface design can enhance the ability of the elderly to operate smart phones and improve the user experience.As for the imagination of future development of the elderly smart phone,based on the target users' point of view,it requires designers for mobile phone interface design to do further research and to make reasonable judgments and repeated scrutiny to the methods during the design process,aiming at tapping the potential needs of users and further improving user experience.In this paper,the elderly smart phone interface is taken as research object.First of all,by analyzing the former research on cognitive characteristics of the elderly and the elderly smart phone interface design principles,four design principles of elderly smart phone interface are summed up;then it explores the possibility of using dynamic graphics to build the elderly smart phone interface from the perspective of dynamic graphics;afterwards,through study of cognitive comparison between the elderly and young people on the smart phone interface,it is found that compared to young people,elder people have the lower ability in visual search and accepting feedback,as well as cognitive problems such as slower reaction to the tips of state and lower awareness of icons.And then it puts forward the improvement plan for the problem found and carry out test evaluation.Based on the analysis of the evaluation experiment and the results of the survey,the design principles of the smart mobile phone interface for the elderly are proposed based on the dynamic graphics,including 1.The expression of the dynamic graphics should be consistent with the interface interaction mode;2.Different types of operation controls be distinguished by effects of click;3.Dynamic icon design must accord with the cognitive characteristics of older users;4.Visualize the interoperability behavior to eflect product ease of use;5.Through the interface elements to explain the instructions to help users,to reflect the product easy to learn.Finally,through a practical business project to test the results of study,At the same time,the validity of the design principles obtained by this study are verified.The elderly smart phone interface design principles obtained from this study can provide more ideas for the designers to accurately grasp the needs of elderly users in practice,guide the design of elderly people's smart phone user experience,and provide thinking for the application and research of dynamic graphic design in other related fields.
