Design Of The Elderly Smart Phone APP User Interface Based On KANO-QFD

China has not only a large population base,but also a rapid growth speed of aging population.At the background of mobile internet and aging population,the research of smart phone APP user interface for the elderly has been paid more and more attention by scholars.With the growth of age,varying decline of the elderly's physiological,emotional and cognitive ability affect deeply of the elderly's experience of the smart phone APP user interface.The physiological characteristics,psychological characteristics and cognitive status of the elderly,increased the difficulty of the elderly smart phone APP user interface design.Some designers are limited by their personal knowledge and experience that the interface designed by them can't be closely linked to the needs of the elderly,the design of the elderly smart phone APP user interface can't satisfy the elderly.In order to avoid the designer's personal experience and cognitive limitations,in the design of the old man's smart phone APP user interface,it is necessary to design a new method which is based on the needs of the elderly.Based on the principles of KANO and QFD and the related theories,this paper makes a study on the APP user interface of the smart phone in the elderly with the characteristics of the social APP user interface.KANO-QFD will be used in the elderly smart phone APP user interface design,the research is divided into two stages,respectively KANO stage and QFD stage;In the stage of KANO,full investigation and collection of user needs of the elderly were launched,the target improvement rate of the elderly's needs were calculated,and the KANO classification were defined.the weights of each requirements were confirmed and the adjustment coefficient were also calculated,finally,the elderly's ultimately comprehensive score of needs importance were calculated.In the phase of QFD,input the research needs of the elderly and the elderly needs importance score.According to the concluded design requirements,the relationship between the design requirements and user needs are confirmed,and the importance of the design requirements were calculated.Finally,key design requirements were outputted and the layout of the elderly smart phone APP user interface will be launched.So that the needs of the elderly will be effectively reflected and the customer satisfaction will be improved maximally,it provides effective ways to guide designers design excellent APP user interface for the elderly.The article will take the elderly smart phone social APP user interface design as an example to discuss the advantages of KANO—QFD application in the design of APP interface for the elderly smart phone.The design based on KANO—QFD of the elderly smart phone APP user interface can identify the impact of different needs of the elderly on satisfaction from the source,it can guide designers to achieve reasonable smart phone APP user interface design for the elderly.
