Several years has pasted since the application of CAN bus was used into the industrial control field. With the increasing complexity of industrial environment and the continuous development of distributed control technology, the needs of remote monitoring and data integration of on-site equipment, are increasingly strict,since having the characteristics such as the complete hierachical structure, high efficiency of the communication and strong security,with the addition of adapting to different types of physical transmission medium,the classic LAN network protocol has been widely used into industrial device.However,the low speed of Ethernet epuipment does not match the people needs.Hot gigabit network technology has widespread applicaton in the production of industrial equipment.Combining gigabit Ethernet with the industrial control,which should be faster and more efficient in completing the distribution of the industial devices, and intelligent control of management ,so as to relize from production to the comprehensive testing equipment mannaement.Converting and interacting betewn the protocols of CAN bus and Ethernet has been the focus of current research issues. According to the hot application background, Design and Implementation of Redundant Gigabit Gateway Device based on Vx Works has converted Gigabit protocol to CAN protocol and completed the share within each other.Based on the protocols of CAN bus andTCP/IP protocols and theory of Embedded and RTOS ,the Redundant Gigabit Gateway Device has been designed and implemented, using the embedded controller S3C2440 as CPU, and VxWorks as the development platform.S3C2440 is designed as CPU for its multi-fuction interface, by the method of connecting Local Bus, while we designe to realize the gagibit modules cricuty.SPI Bus is used to complete The CAN module circuit design. We use the AX88180 chip, ASIX production, as the gigabit module 's network controller and M88E1111, MARVELL production, as network transceiver in the gigabit network gateway module's harware circuit.we choose MCP2515,with interface of extension SPI, as the CAN controller and CTM8250 as the CAN transceiver in the CAN circuit board. Some peripheral circuits are extended, such as power circuit,HJTAG circuit, meomry circuit and RTC circuit and so on. In the designing process,dual-channel of CAN bus and dual-channel of gigabit network interface are realized to improve the reliability redundancy.In the design of software application layer, we eventually reliaze the communication between CAN and Gigabit network, so as to complete the conversion beween CAN protocol and Gigabit protocol, in addition we program the functions including on-line parameters configuratio and work status checking and so on.After debugging, the Gigabit gateway module can complete the conversion between the protocols of CAN and Gigabit Ethernet. Reliazing the target function. The design has a widley future in application.
