Fish-finding sonar system as a rapid development of modern fishing helpful equipment,had been increasingly been applied to fishing operations. However, the traditional fish-finder mostly is dual-band model and has failed to meet the needs of fishing operations. So,multi-beam fish-finding sonar system attracts more attention. The paper provides a display and control software which has control, communications, storage, processing and display functions for fish-finding sonar system.The paper studies principles and composition of the fish-finder system and understanding the exploration and development of domestic and international situation of the display and control software, and design the display and control software for multi-beam fish-finding sonar system. First of all, according to the needs of the control system of the fish-finding sonar system, the paper designs the display and control interface to meet the needs of a control system, Which includes a transmitter and receiver, command control for the acquisition and assisted equipment and working state control. The system has three operating modes: self-test,real-time and playback,respectively,for testing and debugging the system,real-time observation and control, the data post-processing and analysis. Then, according to the communication needs of fish-finding sonar system sonar system, the assisted equipment(GPS navigation devices and attitude indicator device) use the serial communication and socket-based TCP net-communication to send and receive transmissions the equipment commands and underwater echo data. As the demand for real-time systems, the application of multi-threading technology and database technology are applyed to achieve real-time collection and storage of data. Next, the paper completes the phased array echo signal energy algorithm and software. The echo energy can be calculated from the original waveform data coming from acquisition module,which can provide the further analysis of underwater fish information. The paper deduces beam forming process and echo energy on VC platform to verify the correctness of the algorithms and its display and control software. Finally, the window frame of display software uses MFC single document multi-view technology and the data and parameter are displayed in the Device Information window, the original waveform windows, GPS navigation window, echo energy and fish information window of multi-beam fish-finding sonar system display and control software.Through experiments in the lab and experiments of Songhua Lake to test the control,collection and processing and display functions of software and verify the real-time,availability and stability of the display and control software. The paper laid a good foundation for the follow-up study of multi-beam fish-finding sonar system.
