This topic is from a research project jointly developed by Henan University of Technology and Zhengzhou City Road Railways Road Maintenance Machinery Co Ltd.,whose name is Research and Design of Mechanical Modification and Automatic Control System for Rail Grinding Machine.The rail grinding machine is mainly used for the maintenance and repair of the railway.The major grinding objects are the welding of the rails,the burr of the rail grinding,the derusting of the rails and so on.At present,widely used in railway maintenance equipment is the grinding machine to polish rail diesel.The equipment is still in the manual operation stage,which completely use the staff experience and proficiency to control the scale and angle of grinding.Besides its stability depends on the operator’s proficiency.Because of such reasons,there is not enough grinding and too much polished grinding in the grinding process.In this paper,analyzed and studied the structure and working characteristics of the existing rail grinding machine,from the point of view of simple and accurate,we aim at designing a suitable control system to meet the requirements of the rail grinding machine,so that access to the control system of the rail grinding machine with high precision grinding advantages.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the study of the cross section of the rail,the method of multi section linear fitting is used to determine the angle of the swing of the beam under the condition of the straightness of the rail.(2)According to the problems existing in the work of the rail grinding machine,combined with the working principle of the machine,the feeding mechanism of the grinding machine and the swinging mechanism of the beam are optimized;(3)Through the analysis and research of the control scheme determined with PLC as the main controller,this paper put forward a PLC method of instruction output control of stepper motor rotation direction and the angular displacement of the high speed pulse,to achieve high precision stepper motor control,and achieve precise quantitative rail grinding machine grinding.(4)Combined with the text display TD400 C to complete the software programming of the control system,and the whole control system is debugged.This paper firstly studied the overall design of rail grinding machine,put forward on the basis of precision grinding with PLC high speed pulse output method of controlling stepper motor to realize the rail grinding machine,to determine the overall design scheme of textdisplay +PLC communication system TD400 C operating system + motor drive"to achieve high precision grinding,and has high stability.Also the system has some advantages,such as strong adaptability,high efficiency and simple operation.what is more important,it can reduce the working time of staff and reduce operating costs.
