Cohort study is an important method to study the etiology of complex diseases.Because the cohort study need for long-term follow-up monitoring of patients and capture,management,analysis of large amounts of data such exposure data and outcome events,so the information system that specially serves the cohort study at the historic moment.The traditional cohort study information system is basically customized development aimed at specific cohort study purpose,but cohort studies that are aimed at different diseases and different purposes are common in data collection and management,resulting in large amounts of repetitive work.In order to solve the above problem,this paper designs and develops a configurable cohort study inforamation system based on the openEHR two-layer model.The main content of this paper include:1)Firstly,the design process of the cohort study was investigated,and then the role of cohort study information system in cohort study was analyzed.On this basis,this paper investigate and analyze research status of cohort study information system and its role in cohort study.According to analysis results,although the traditional cohort study information system has similar data collection and management methods,the system can't reuse in more than cohort study because customized development,leading to the waste of development power.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a configurable cohort study information system solution.2)Aiming at the characteristic that different cohort studies differ in the content of data collection such as exposure data and outcome events.This paper takes advantage of international openEHR two-layer modeling method to research the configurable data collection form technology:constructing different types of form components according to the data types defined by openEHR reference model,then implementing the basic framework of data collection form;Visual Form Designer is designed to dynamically adjust the WYSIWYG form style;Dynamic binding of data items to form component instances enables on-demand adjustment of form data storage and query.3)In order to realize the commonality of data analysis,ETL(Extract-Transform-Load)is used to convert the data of different data sources into the common format of OMOP Common Data Model(CDM).However,due to the complexity of ETL process,it is difficult to realize the improvement of prototype data mapping to CDM.4)Design and implementation of a configurable queue research information system,the system is divided into queue building and queue analysis of two modules.Queue establishment includes data collection,follow-up management and data management;queue analysis includes CDM format standardization and based on CDM using open source software tools and analytical method libraries provided by OHDSI for cohort study data analysis5)In order to verify the effectiveness of research results,the system is applied in the case of kidney disease cohort study.Practice has proved that the system can configure a kidney disease cohort study information system,reducing large amounts of repetitive work.
